Registration is open for the OAA Admission Course, a mandatory requirement for licensure for all Intern Architects and Intern Technologists in Ontario.
The latest session kicks off next month, providing a comprehensive understanding of regulatory matters, legal issues, and the specifics of architectural practice in the province. Administered digitally by the University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies, it consists of eight modules that provide foundational knowledge in professional responsibility, ethics, legal aspects of practice, planning and development approvals, the Building Code Act, and contract administration.
The 2025 Fall Semester runs from September 29 to November 30, with registration closing on October 6. It is open to Intern Architects in the Internship in Architecture Program (IAP) and Intern Technologists who have been enrolled in the OAA Technology Program (OTP) for 12 months and have completed at least 2,790 approved hours in their Experience Record Book (ERB). Candidates in the Broadly Experienced Foreign Architects (BEFA) Program may also be eligible—contact iap@oaa.on.ca to learn more.
Due to high demand and limited availability, register as soon as possible to ensure participation. Dates for 2026 have not yet been announced.
