CSA Standards are an important reference tool for licensed OAA members to ensure design meets building code requirements, and construction complies with the contract documents. In upholding its responsibilities to serve the public interest, the OAA provides access to the pertinent CSA standards to ensure prohibitive costs are not a barrier to members.
The OAA negotiated for all those licensed by the OAA to have viewing access to a collection of CSA standards referenced in the National Building Code of Canada and the Ontario Building Code, as well as other pertinent standards. As long as the OAA’s contract with the CSA remains in effect, licensed OAA members have one year of free access to the collection through the CSA OnDemand platform from the date they create their account and register their individual subscriptions.
CSA sends automated reminders to all primary account holders as the one-year anniversary of the program subscription approaches. The OAA periodically monitors the use of this resource to determine annual renewal of the program.
Enrolment as a primary account holder is restricted to licensed OAA members. Those wishing to participate or renew must first log in to the member portal of the OAA Website then follow the appropriate instructions.
