Share Your Knowledge with the Architecture Profession!
Are you interested in being a speaker at next year’s Conference or leading one of the OAA’s Continuing Education Webinars?
The Continuing Education Program reflects the Association’s dedication to promoting and increasing the knowledge, skill, and proficiency of its members. The OAA is asking its members—and other thought leaders outside the profession—to propose ideas for in-classroom lectures and in-the-field experiential learning at the 2026 Conference, as well as for online learning opportunities in the new year.
From legal, code, or practice issues and local project case studies to highlighting advancements with design tools or building materials, this is a chance to share your expertise with Architects, Licensed Technologists, and other design/construction experts across Ontario.
OAA Conference, Collaboration Powering Innovation
From May 13 to 15, 2026, the OAA Conference will be held in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region—home to the world’s biggest tech companies, from Apple to Google. Here in Ontario’s Silicon Valley, the opportunities and challenges posed by AI, automation, and energy modelling grab the headlines, while meaningful collaboration quietly powers creative decision-making relative to architectural quality, practice, and problem-solving.
The Conference, themed Collaboration Powering Innovation, will explore how collaboration thrives in the Grand Valley, with its mid-sized cities and architectural gems, as well as across the province. The climate crisis, housing shortages, and anxieties around economies and supply chains mean the need for collaboration and innovation has never been more valued.
To achieve a resilient, adaptive, and functional built environment, the profession must examine the tools for better co-creating with project team collaborators, clients, citizens, and municipalities. The OAA’s flagship event brings experts and delegates to the heart of Canadian tech innovation for three days of local learning, professional development, and celebration. Will you be one of those experts?

ConEd Webinars
The OAA’s weekly Continuing Education Webinar Series explores a wide range of topics, including subjects dealing with climate action, risk management, building codes, mass timber, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. This fall, there are webinars related to subjects like energy modelling, landscape architecture, and adaptive reuse.
These online sessions are a popular choice for OAA members looking to complete their mandatory program requirements ahead of the end of the ConEd Cycle next June. Many sessions are then made available for on-demand viewing on the Association’s YouTube channel.
The Association is seeking ideas for webinars for the first half of 2026. To submit a proposal to host a session, fill in the OAA’s online form to share more about yourself and your topic. The deadline for submission is Monday, September 29 at 2:00 pm.
