Wind-Resilient Buildings Webinar Next Week

Also: Share Your Proposals for a Future Virtual ConEd Event

The OAA’s Continuing Education Webinar Series continues, with virtual learning taking place biweekly. Many of the offerings this year include opportunities to earn Structured Learning that qualifies for the mandatory Climate Action requirement.

On March 9, for example Rob Jonkman (Canadian Wood Council), Brent Bunting (Simpson Strong-Tie), and Kevin Rocchi (Element 5 limited partnership) examine “10 Important Features of a Wind-Resilient Building,” exploring how some wood-frame buildings can stand up to high winds and tornadoes. They will also cover other concepts from the recently published CSA S520 standard.

Do you want to present to Ontario’s architecture profession? The Association is currently seeking presenters and topics for its popular virtual learning series—find out more about what is required on the OAA Website.
