The
Ontario Library Association (OLA) is now accepting submissions for the
2025 Library Building Award for New Library Buildings.
The award celebrates excellence in architectural design and innovation across library spaces in Ontario. Open to all types of libraries, including academic, school, public, and institutional libraries, the program recognizes projects that exemplify creativity, functionality, and community impact. This year, the OLA program honours new library buildings in Ontario that opened between June 2022 and June 2025.
To qualify, submissions must have the consent of both the architect and the library owner. The deadline for entries is
April 15. A $70 entrance fee applies for each submission. Projects are evaluated individually based on established criteria rather than compared against each other.
To participate, prepare a nomination package following the outlined requirements on the
submission form. For more details or assistance, contact
