After more than three years of work, the
Construction Design Alliance of Ontario (CDAO) has released the final report from its study on the high cost of low-quality design. The study demonstrates there are significant opportunities for better collaboration and communication among owners, designers, general contractors, and subcontractors, which will improve design document quality and construction productivity. Further, the study results provide all project stakeholders with a basis for discussion about positive change in project delivery for public and private construction projects in Canada.
