The second episode of Pro-Demnity Insurance Co.’s Architects’ Claims Stories features an architect who forgets he is the agent of the owner during the bid process. He compounds the problem by making decisions without the owner’s knowledge and consent, and then fails to put them in writing.
The idea for the audio episodes came from Natasha Krickhan, past chair of the OAA’s Intern Committee, who wondered if there could be a way to adapt for a new audience the Claims Stories text series by David Croft, past winner of the OAA’s G. Randy Roberts Service Award and retired Vice President of Claims at Pro-Demnity. The stories highlight the risks associated with practice and serve as cautionary tales that resonate with anyone in the architecture profession.
