Share Your Contact Info with Those on the Path to Licensure
OAA members who share their knowledge and experience help ensure those on the path to licensure have the tools to design a safe and healthy built environment that performs at the highest levels for Ontarians and the planet.
To promote an equitable, diverse, and inclusive profession, the OAA is pleased to announce a new Mentor Directory is launching this spring.
Please consider submitting your information and volunteering as a mentor at https://members.oaa.on.ca/mentorship-directory-submit.
Accessible only by member login through the OAA Website, the online Mentor Directory database will allow Intern Architects and Student Associates to search for a compatible mentor using information related to their practice, experience, and background.
The Association strongly encourages you to share your information and become a mentor.
When you connect with a mentee, you offer valuable insight on overcoming challenges. By being a mentor, you help build competencies, camaraderie, and positivity while offering advice on how to further professional goals and career objectives. In addition to personal satisfaction from giving back to the architecture community, being a mentor earns you recognition for your involvement in the Internship in Architecture Program (IAP), and also may gain you up to 10 Unstructured Learning hours per Continuing Education cycle.
The OAA’s Mentorship Guide clarifies the expectations and responsibilities involved.
