In Memoriam - Peter Archer

Peter Archer, Architect
1953—April 11, 2025

Peter Webster Archer, age 72 of Elmvale, passed away peacefully April 11, 2025 at Tomkins House Hospice in Penetanguishene.

Peter was the loving son of the late Robert "Web" Archer and the late Ione Archer (Sinclair), and was pre-deceased by his brother Ben Archer and sister-in-law Charlotte Archer (McNair).

He was a loving uncle to Adrienne (Will) of Guelph and Natalie of Gravenhurst and great-uncle to Lucas and Anna Cooke, and Claire and Amy van der Valk.

Peter enjoyed life to the fullest and gave his all to his architectural projects, cooking of elaborate meals, gardening, and discussion of all things "family genealogy", throughout his lifetime.

His interest in Field Spaniels with his first dog "Ebby", sparked an enthusiasm and a love for this breed which he shared with all that knew him.  He received so much joy from this breed and the people that have been a part of his life ever since.

A special thank you to Dr. Thomas who eased our minds by getting Peter moved to Hospice and to all the staff and volunteers at Tomkin House for the wonderful, compassionate care he received.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be most welcome at Tomkins House Hospice (hospicehuronia.ca) and the Field Spaniel Rescue (fssc.rescue@gmail.com)

May all his friends, new and old, remember him with love.
