Dino Dutra, Architect
November 9, 1963 — October 22, 2024
Dino Dutra passed away on October 22nd, 2024, at the age of 60 following a brief battle with cancer. He was surrounded and will always be cherished by his loving wife Isabel, his children Kaitlyn, Aaron, and Madelyne, and their family dog, Olive.
Born on November 9th, 1963 in Toronto to Raul and Maria Dutra, Dino was the second of four children. He is survived by his father Raul, his brothers Victor and Mario, and his sister Marci.
Dino had a love of music, hockey, and pursuing creative outlets, with a passion for sketching and drafting that ultimately led to his life's calling as an architect. He graduated from the University of Toronto's school of Architecture in 1987 and began working at a small firm which he would eventually own, founding Dutra Architect Inc. in 2003.
Dino’s legacy lives on through his family, the buildings he designed, and the impact he had on those around him. Dino’s generosity was limitless, and when asked how he wanted to be remembered, his words were, “I want to be remembered as someone who had a giving spirit."
