Mimosa Haque, a Bangladeshi Canadian artist, explores otherworldly gardenscapes and newfangled floral design under the moniker Strange Phool. On January 23, she will set an intricate tablescape inspired by nature’s imperfections and the architectural elements of Ace Toronto. Upon that table, they will serve a three-course dinner prepared by Alder. Fusing Strange Phool’s singular perspective on plants and the wood-fired cooking of Chef Patrick Kriss, the evening will be a meditation on how we construct the organic within ourselves.
A portion of ticket sales will go to SOSA, the not-for-profit organization that embraces and aims to promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the professions of architecture and design.
