Created by the International Union of Architects (UIA) in 1985, World Architecture Day is celebrated on the first Monday of October in parallel with UN World Habitat Day. By choosing a different theme each year, this world day seeks to draw the attention of professionals as well as the public to problems concerning cities and habitat.
Just in time for World Architecture Day, and now in it's Now in its seventh year, the OAA’s Queen’s Park Picks (QP Picks) program asks the province’s Members of Provincial Parliament (MPPs) to nominate their favourite buildings. An exhibit will launch virtually on the OAA Website, on World Architecture Day, Monday, October 3. To learn more about this program or to view previous QP Picks, click here.
