A long-established tradition, the TSA's annual year-end BASH is an opportunity for the GTA's architecture and design community to come together and celebrate in unique spaces across out city. No two years are alike, with a new featured venue chosen every year and the party tailored to reflect the design stories behind the building. Great food, delicious drinks and beautiful architecture—there is no better way to celebrate our city and those who shape it.
A landmark party like this deserves a fitting venue, and this year the TSA is bringing the party to one of Toronto’s most important mid-century icons: the former O’Keefe Centre (now Meridian Hall)! Designed by Earle C. Morgan and Page & Steele, with Peter Dickinson as its chief designer, interiors by Herbert Irvine and landscapes by Dunnington Grubb, the O’Keefe Centre has been an architectural and cultural landmark since its opening in 1960. Its dramatic entrance canopy cantilevers 15.8 metres over the entranceway, and its well-preserved interiors feature extensive use of carrara marble, black granite, and bronze, as well as an expansive 30-metre-long mural by R. York Wilson titled “The Seven Lively Arts."
