Canada’s Leading EV And Charging Expo 2024

The EV & Charging Expo™ is the event for business and government professionals to experience the latest in electric vehicle charging infrastructure, test drive commercial EVs and meet best-in-class suppliers to enable your organization’s EV transition.

The property development landscape in 2024 and beyond is quickly being affected by new consumer needs and regulatory constraints that present unanticipated business risks. Thriving in this new environment requires understanding the impact that EV charging, and its associated challenges, is having on the entire industry.

Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, Canada’s premier zero-emission vehicles conference is returning to look back on the lessons learned, the results and achievements from actions undertaken by national, regional, and international communities, and to identify ways for further strengthening of the adoption of electric vehicles and the transition to a cleaner and more sustainable future.

How is this relevant?
Condominium managers and property developers need to be aware of the real business risks and opportunities of Scope 3 emissions disclosure, whether it is accessing affordable capital or meeting new climate reporting obligations starting in 2025. ESG Global Advisors’ CEO Sarah Keyes will map out the urgency to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime economic transition that will affect companies across sectors, both large and small.
EV charging could be the new necessity for commercial real estate. Experts from Cadillac Fairview, BOMA Toronto, and KingSett Capital will explain why public charging is essential for shopping malls and office buildings to attract and retain customers, clients, and commuters. They will address the business models, partnerships and funding available to real estate owners and investors to get this off the ground and share the best practices for running EV charging onsite.
‘Smart charging’ can offer innovative, cost saving, and revenue streams for entrepreneurial real estate and commercial customers. Maral Kassabian from Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) will discuss the potential of distributed energy resources, which include smart charging and battery storage, as buildings roll out charging infrastructure and utilities look ahead to grid upgrades.

What can you expect?
The Exhibition Hall has been expanded this year to feature more exhibitors and bigger booths. The hall will showcase the latest electric vehicle charging technology, best-in-class commercial EVs and the vendors who can enable and advise on your organization's EV transition.
The conference will include a fully digitized booking system for test drives. Visitors will be able to drive electric vans, trucks, and other commercial electric vehicles on 1.5 kms of public roads at the event. The full lineup of the vehicles that will be available will be posted here
Some of the speakers addressing issues related to property management and development include: Khuzaimah Chhil, Director, Property Management – Operations at CBRE; Andrea Ongaro, Divisional Vice President, Petroleum Operations & Business Development at Canadian Tire; Deb Craven, President at Longo’s; and Jeff Turner, Director, Clean Mobility, Dunsky Energy + Climate Advisors, among others.

Registration:
The Expo Pass, which can be purchased here, provides access to 30+ sessions, talks and panels, on-site Ride & Drive, and networking opportunities during the two days of the conference.
