Part of the national Internship in Architecture Program (IAP), the Mentorship process forms a crucial component of the supportive culture for Ontario’s architecture profession. Just as it takes a lot of work to become a great architect, it also takes a lot of work to become a great Mentor (or Mentee!).
In this one-hour session, we will listen to a panel of two sets of Mentors and Mentees as they discuss their common challenges, lessons learned, and ways to evolve the relationship beyond just a regulatory requirement.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand how to find the right Mentor/Mentee
- Explore tools available for Mentors/Mentees and how to use them
- Learn how COVID-19 changed the Mentorship relationship
- Understand how to create a mutually beneficial relationship
- Gain tips on how to become a great Mentor/Mentee
