The President’s Reception and
SHIFT2023 Challenge and Honours event took place on
June 22. The President's Reception kicked- off the evening celebrations with drinks and passed hors d’oeuvres inside the Special exhibit hall. Guests enjoyed the Dinosaur exhibit that was on display which featured life-size dinosaur replicas with ultra-realistic movement and sounds. Afterwards, the SHIFT2023 Challenge event took place inside Science North’s stunning Vale Cavern—a unique events space carved out of solid rock, and celebrated the five projects that navigated the intersection of architecture and human health with ideas that aim to improve happiness and well-being.
Architect
Ryan Schwartz moderated the event, which included the
five SHIFT2023 Challenge recipients announced earlier this year. The event included presentations by
Emily Lensin, Howard Rideout, Erica Gomirato, Gordon Stratford & Alison Lumby and Mohcine Sadiq.
