Designing for Dignity Draws More than 320 to the Gateway to Northern Ontario

The OAA held its 2023 Conference in Sudbury from June 21 to 23, with more than 320 attendees coming together for a learning program focused on Designing for Dignity. In addition to a slate of Continuing Education sessions with international experts that combined in-class learning with experiential opportunities out and around the city, the event also included special events like the Plenary, the Sudbury Kitchen Party, the Northern Ontario Society of Architects (NOSA) mixer, and the SHIFT2023 Challenge and Honours evening.

Sudbury Kitchen Party

The Sudbury Kitchen Party kicked off Conference as a social event at the McEwen School of Architecture (MSoA).

This year’s Conference Plenary brought together experts from the health, policy, and architectural sectors to address dignity-related questions beyond long-term care.

The Northern Ontario Society of Architects (NOSA) hosted an evening of music and drinks at Sudbury’s Crosscut Distillery in celebration of the 2023 Conference.
