Architecture and the design and use of space plays a very important role in the evolution of society. We’re proud of how our company is constantly evolving as the needs of our customers change over time.
To be a single source for quality, durability, and long-lasting style, we at Brampton Brick focus on developing products that work well together. We take into consideration the colours, textures, sizes, and shapes that have a significant impact on how space is perceived.
Our story begins in 1871 when Packham Brick Works opened on the east side of Brampton. By 1960, the newly named Brampton Brick replaced the old, pressed brick equipment with extrusion technology. The efficiency of this new process increased output from 2 million bricks per year to 26 million! Since then, our capacity has grown to produce over 300 million top-quality bricks per year.
But even though clay brick is a natural, insulating, responsible and recyclable building material, bricks aren’t the
whole story…
With a legacy that runs deeper than brick we’ve separated ourselves from the competition by combining our immense clay brick experience with our concrete manufacturing abilities through our concrete masonry lines, and Oaks Landscape Products. Our products cover jobsites both vertically and horizontally, from curbside to poolside.
Brampton Brick Limited (Brampton Brick), collectively, Brampton Brick and Oaks Landscape Products (Oaks) brands; has forged a reputation as an integrated masonry and hardscape products manufacturer. So whether you’re looking at clay brick, grey block, thoughtfully-engineered retaining wall systems designed to assist drainage and conserve space, or even permeable pavement systems that can help mitigate stormwater damage, we are your ONE Trusted Source.
At Brampton Brick, we’re doing our part to help inspire climate action wherever we can, and one key area for us is in the manufacture of our concrete masonry units. By using CarboClave technology to sequester and utilize CO2 as a performance-enhancing curing agent we are diverting CO2 from the atmosphere, to deliver a superior quality block product delivering 50% higher strengths immediately, lower absorption and little or no efflorescence and streaking. There is no energy or water involved during the curing process, and an up to 25% reduction in cement as an ingredient for with a lower manufacturing CO2 footprint.
All of our CarboClave Block products produced in our Cambridge facility are made using CarboClave CO2 sequestering technology and are 25% environmentally more friendly than traditional concrete block products, with the capacity to absorb up to 250g (0.5lbs) of CO2 in every 20cm block. When we consider all the concrete block that is used in the design and building of communities all around us today, the potential to make a real difference in the impact within the architectural community is immense.
