Design Buildings to Provide Ecosystem Services like Trees

TIME: 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Session Abstract:
UN’s Ecosystem Assessment report recommended buildings to provide ecosystem services to allow the damaged ecosystem functions to regenerate.  This seminar examines how buildings can be designed to function like trees to replenish ecosystem services and mitigate carbon.

Learning Outcomes:
• Know the meaning of ecosystem services.
• Understand the relationship between ecosystem services and buildings
• Learn to design ecosystem services into buildings
• Explore design examples on the market
