TIME: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Our world, and the people that live within it, is unique. We come in all shapes and sizes, have various levels of mobility and sensory needs, and possess unique cognitive and communication styles. It stands to reason, our world should cater to the spectrum of human needs-but this is not the case.
As an industry, we have only recently begun to expand the definition of inclusive design. Given accessibility in Ontario recently qualified as entering into a state of ""crisis"", it's more important than ever that organizations begin to take proactive action to become more inclusive.
Together, Gensler's Kevin Katigbak and Kirima Isler, will discuss the ever-evolving inclusive design landscape, and how to view and combat the current patterns of exclusion and inequity in our everyday practices, and built environment. There's no time to waste.
Note: This session is being submitted for OAA, ARIDO and IDCEC accreditation.
