Student lead discussion on: What is the future of architectural education? This year of Global Studio is teaching us that students are driving innovation and are hungry for change around social justice and climate change. They are seeing the world constantly changing and are grappling with how they will face this change. Building on and in parallel with Session 1, Session 3 will be creating a space of mutual relationship to hear from students what they want, expect, and need from their education based on their diverse lived experiences, the Global Studio events of the 2021/2 year, their regional social and climatic contexts, and their dreams.
Key focuses will be: Anti-racism, Socio-spatial Justice, De-centering Western canonic knowledge and pedagogy, Climate Change, Decolonization, Hierarchies of Power and Knowledge.
Key dynamics: Innovation, Departure, Exploration, Speculation, Disruption, Change, Action, Healing.
