This June 2020 memo to OAA Council outlined the work being done within the OAA De-Colonization for Architecture Working Group. It made interim recommendations to Council regarding a few short-term goals and also includes the discussion notes from the December 17, 2018 Reconciliation for Architecture Roundtable, which focused on two general themes: the significance of the Truth and Reconciliation Report and Calls to Action for the profession and practice of architecture, and the importance and potential of traditional knowledge and values as a driver for the process of design and construction of buildings and infrastructure in Ontario.
