The OAA’s Demographic Survey, administered by Stratcom, is a voluntary, confidential tool that helps the Association measure its progress and develop relevant programs and initiatives as it works to better ensure Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the architecture profession.
In 2020, OAA Council agreed to implement a demographic survey of its members that collects race-based and other equity-relevant data. Initially annual and now having moved to a biennial frequency, the survey is only one step in the development of a long-term data-collection strategy. All those with OAA status are encouraged to participate.
The information provided by those with OAA status is kept confidential and maintained in a secure information system, with access only granted to OAA staff and consultants for the purpose of analyzing trends in the profession. Information is presented as aggregated data without identifying individual responses.
The next survey will take place in 2026. See the links below to view the survey results from previous years:

The de-identified results of the survey will then be made accessible and transparent to the membership as well as to the general public.
