Assist with the preparation of working drawings, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, including the Ontario Building Code, with oversight from senior staff.

  • Follow Revit and BIM standards and requirements.

  • Participate actively in design discussions, beginning to articulate your ideas, build confidence in your contributions, and thoughtfully engage with feedback from senior team members.

Project coordination and support:

  • Support project teams, including architects, engineers, and other consultants, on project coordination, as required.

  • Maintain project documentation and organization of project files, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.

Innovation and sustainability

  • Stay informed about industry trends and technical innovations, cultivating curiosity and a habit of continuous learning to help you contribute fresh perspectives and evolve your technical understanding over time.

  • Develop understanding and apply sustainable design practices and adhere to the projects and firm’s environmental standards.

  • Participate in post-project reviews to learn from project outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement.

Candidate profile & qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and master’s degree in architectural studies.

  • Up to 2 years of experience in an architectural design role, including internships and co-op placements.

  • Working proficiency in current versions of Revit, BIM programs, MS Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and 3D visualization software.

  • Foundational skills in producing working drawings and renderings.

  • Knowledge of building technology and assembly, construction methodology, and materials application as it relates to functional design.

  • Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
