Reshaping Communities Comes to Ottawa in May
Held at the Hotel Westin Ottawa, from May 14 to 16, 2025, next year’s OAA Conference is all about the architecture profession’s role in Reshaping Communities. The event will examine how places guide people’s behaviour, and how an evolving built environment can effectively respond and reflect societal changes. In considering impacts at both local and global scales, the Conference aims to include explorations of urban revitalization, adaptive reuse, inclusive design, Reconciliation, the intersection of the built and natural environments, and the profession’s ability to respond to new challenges and opportunities.
Are you interested in being a speaker at Conference? As in years past, the OAA is looking for submissions for both in-classroom lectures and in-the-field experiential learning sessions. There are also opportunities for experts to present to Ontario Architects as part of the Associations’ Continuing Education Webinar Series.
Fill in the OAA’s online form to share more about yourself and your topic. The deadline for submission is Friday, October 18.
The OAA is very excited to begin planning for its 2025 event, and your contribution is valuable to the process. We are looking for unique proposals—from both members and those outside the profession—that exemplify what is current and upcoming in the architectural profession in Ontario and especially the National Capital Region.
You can learn more about the 2024 Conference, Housing: Pushing the Envelope, which took place in May in Niagara Falls on the OAA Website.
