The OAA has revised and revitalized its downloadable suite of free standardized contracts for both members and the public. The OAA Contract Suite 2021 makes it easier for OAA members, along with their subconsultants or clients, to enter into fair, balanced business relationships.

To download a templates and guide for a project, visit the OAA’s Documents and Publications Portal. Offerings include:
• OAA 600-2021 series (long-form contract between an OAA member and a client);
• OAA 800-2021 series (short-form contract for use on less-complex projects); and
• OAA 900-2021 series (standard form of subcontract between OAA members and subconsultants, can be used with OAA 600 or OAA 800).
Each contract comes in versions for both Architects and Licensed Technologists OAA—along with guide documents and quick instructions for proper use.

The OAA Contract Suite was revised for compatibility with CCDC 2-2020 and applicable laws, as well as to respond to changes in industry practice. They were written in consultation with groups representing owners, procurement groups, and construction law specialists representing owners, contractors, and consultants.
Previous versions (i.e. the 2013 OAA contracts) will be sunset on June 30.
