Doors Open Toronto 2024: Call for Open Studios | Submit by January 11

Are you an architecture studio located in Toronto? Do you wish to showcase your work and processes to the public? If so, this is the opportunity for you!

Each year, as part of Doors Open Toronto, the TSA enlists a group of architectural practices to open the doors for a weekend in May and provide the public a behind-the-scenes look to the work that goes behind designing and building the built environment. Last year, 6,000 attendees visited the studios, including many aspiring architects and designers looking to meet the people behind the architecture and understanding what studios are all about. Studios are required to open for at least one full day during the Doors Open weekend which will be taking place May 25-26.

For 2024, The TSA has 10 spots available for both new and returning studios, and they will also be piloting a series of kid-friendly activities at a number of the TSA-supported sites in advancement of their youth outreach efforts.

If you are interested in participating, send them an email by Thursday, January 11, and they will follow up with additional information and next steps.

Building Tours 2024: Call for Interest | Submit by January 31

We all love a good building tour and now is your turn to lead one! TSA Building Tours are amongst their most popular events, providing members and the public exclusive access to some of the city’s newest buildings and landscapes with tours led by the people behind their design. In 2023, the TSA has introduced pre-recorded video tours, opening access to more sites across the GTA and a world-wide audience interested to learn more about Toronto's architecture.

Do you have a new project in the works that you think would be a great fit? Let us know and be part of this initiative! The TSA is currently looking for tours for their 2024 season. Projects can be under construction or recently completed, buildings or landscapes, and tours can happen either virtually (pre-recorded) or in-person. No prior tour guide experience is necessary as you'll have the TSA team behind you in figuring out how to best share the story behind the building and taking care of all the technical behind-the-scenes aspects!

If you are interested in participating, fill out this form by Wednesday, Janurary 31.
