Urban Minds, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring youth to create equitable and meaningful urban spaces, has announced the launch of its 1UP Mentorship program for the forthcoming 2024-25 school year. The initiative invites professionals from assorted fields including architecture, urban planning, and community engagement to mentor a team of high school students driven to create better spaces for their communities.
The 1UP program is designed to equip Ontario’s future city builders, known as 1UP School Chapters, with essential leadership and design skills. Under the guidance of trained 1UP Fellows, these students identify and tackle local challenges, fostering a sense of community and responsibility.
Professionals interested in mentoring the next generation of changemakers are encouraged to apply by accessing the
application form. Applications are due by
Friday, September 13 at 11:59 PM.
