The OAA Celebrates Successful Doors Open

The annual Doors Open Toronto weekend once again proved to be a tremendous success at the OAA Headquarters, drawing in more than 580 visitors across May 27 and 28.

The Association’s net-zero offices at 111 Moatfield Drive demonstrate the profession’s commitment to climate action. Guided tours led by architects Sheena Sharp and David Fujiwara provided valuable insights into the significant upgrades achieved through the Association’s Renew + Refresh renovation project. Visitors were impressed by the structure’s innovative features, like the energy-efficient geothermal system, solar panels, improved daylighting, motion sensors, LED fixtures, flexible meeting spaces, and tint-changing dynamic windows—all of which model the possibilities in sustainable architecture.
