TMU Students, FLAP Canada Launch Survey to Advance Bird Safety in Building Design

Students from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) are spearheading a research project focused on bird safety in buildings.

In partnership with Fatal Light Awareness Program (FLAP) Canada, a Canadian charity recognized as the authority on bird-building collisions, the initiative involves an online survey designed to gather insights from industry professionals including planners, architects, sustainability experts, and others regarding their information needs on the topic.

Overseen by TMU’s Prof. Nina-Marie Lister of the Ecological Design Lab, the project aims to enhance educational resources and strategies to mitigate bird collisions with buildings.

Open until October 25, the survey welcomes participants from all levels of expertise, including international professionals.
