Earlier this year, the OAA launched an online tool to allow its members and the public to measure the Total Energy Use Intensity(TEUI) of a building. The TEUI.ca calculator lets you determine an existing home or building’s energy performance by entering simple utility bill data into an easy-to-use interface. Users receive instant metrics for their building’s energy performance, and get a PDF printout to show clients or other stakeholders. The OAA’s Design Excellence Awards also require TEUI metrics for eligibility, and this calculator makes it easy to include the data. A call for awards submissions will launch next month for the 2022 program.
