Public Review Now Open for Proposed Change Addressing Overheating

The Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes (CBHCC) is inviting the public to participate in its next public review of a proposed change to the National Building Code of Canada (NBC) that addresses overheating in dwelling units.

The public review, open to code users and the code community, will run from January 20 to February 24, 2025. Those interested in participating visit CBHCC’s website  and share their comments.

The public review allows all Canadians to participate in the code development process. It will close at 11:59 p.m. (PST) on February 24, 2025.

If approved, the change will be included in the 2025 editions of the National Model Codes.
