The OAA’s governing
Council called a special meeting earlier this month to determine a new Vice President of Practice, following the position vacancy. As set out in section 16(2) of the Regulations, elected members of Council were able to run for the executive position, with
William (Ted) Wilson chosen via by-election for the remainder of the year. A master lecturer at Laurentian University’s McEwen School of Architecture, Wilson was elected to Council last year for a three-year term that began in January 2022.
Council also appointed Deo Paquette to the vacant Province of Ontario seat for the remainder of its term, ending December 31, 2023.
Watch for more information soon regarding Council elections for next year.
