Nominations are in for Council Elections

Nominations to fill the vacancies on OAA Council for the 2022 term closed on October 25. The following candidates were acclaimed in their electoral districts:

  • Susan Speigel (City of Toronto);
  • Marek C. Zawadzki (City of Toronto); and
  • Ted Wilson (Northern Ontario).

For the Province of Ontario seat, five members are running:

  • Donald L. Ardiel;
  • Barry R. Cline;
  • Christina J. Karney;
  • Ahmed Mahmoud; and
  • Greg A. Redden.


For the non-voting Intern Architect seat, two are running:

  • Pearl Yan Ming Chan; and
  • James Lipson.

Ballots will be sent on November 8 and voting will close on November 22. The OAA wishes well all candidates who are running, and strongly encourages all eligible voters to learn about those individuals and the issues at play. You can learn more about the elections here.
