Last week, the OAA was thrilled to announce the panel of jurors for the SHIFT2023 Health & Architecture Challenge. The aspirational biennial awards program asks OAA members, as well as those on the path to licensure, to explore the role the architecture profession plays in supporting human health, happiness, and wellbeing in Ontario and beyond.
The jurors are:
- architect Greg Colucci (Diamond Schmitt);
- educator and architect Steven Fong (Office Make Good, Steven Fong Architect);
- founding principal Terry Montgomery (Montgomery Sisam Architects);
- UK-registered architect, author, and educator Dr. Terri Peters (Toronto Metropolitan University); and
- medical anthropologist and educator Dr. Michelle Wyndham-West (OCAD University, McMaster University).
These five will participate in a special Jury Day in February, joined by a facilitator, architect and OAA past-president John Stephenson (FormStudio Architects).
By January 13, you can submit project ideas—including text, visuals, and a video—showing how architectural thinking can advance insight and innovation. While submissions are welcome from teams of varied skills and professional backgrounds, the team leader must have status with the OAA.
