Architecture hungry Hamiltonians took in Doors Open this weekend across the city.
Nearly 40 local sites unlatched their entryway for the annual event — part of the 22nd anniversary of Doors Open Ontario, with spring and summer events in 14 municipalities. Historic city staples such as Auchmar, Battlefield, Fieldcote and the Museum of Steam and Technology allowed access and tours for free. Also this year, walking tours of city eateries set out in Dundas, along King William Street and on James Street North. Some visitors lined up to see the historic gems like Dundurn Castle, others cracked a cold one on a Collective Arts Brewery tour.
The May 6 and 7 event was presented by the Hamilton Region Branch of the Architectural Conservancy Ontario.
