Indigenous Housing Complex Gets Provincial Architectural Nod

An Indigenous housing complex in North Bay is being recognized for architectural excellence by the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA).

Suswin Village, a transitional housing complex built and managed by the North Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre, is one of nine projects selected as part of the OAA's 2024 Queen's Park Picks
 program.

Through the annual initiative, Members of Provincial Parliament “highlight their favourite architectural gems from their ridings, showcasing exceptional buildings and structures in celebration of architecture in Ontario.”

This year's theme was ‘Housing’, with 32 suggestions submitted by 29 MPPs. Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli nominated Suswin Village.
