Nominations to fill the forthcoming vacancies on the OAA’s governing Council for the 2025–2027 term have now closed.

For the City of Toronto seat, the two members running are:

• Ellie Cyrus; and
• Susan Speigel.

For the Western Ontario seat, the two members running are:

• Donald L. Ardiel; and
• Yvonne Ip.

For the Province of Ontario seat, eight members are running:

• Mohammad Ashjaei;
• Ryan Cyrus;
• Ibrahim El-Hajj;
• Deo M. Paquette;
• Clayton Payer;
• Mohamad Slibi;
• Yu Hong (Rachel) Sun; and
• Magid Youssef.

For the Eastern Ontario seat, Jenny Lafrance has been acclaimed.

For the Northern Ontario seat, Ted Wilson has been acclaimed.

You can learn more about the candidates on the OAA Website, as well as send them your questions using this online form before voting begins November 11. Ballots will be sent to eligible voters (see below) on November 11, with voting closing on November 25. Results will be announced by December 1.

Each electoral district is assigned a specific number of seats within Council. Only Architects with an address of record within the electoral district can vote for candidates running for those seats. If you are unsure of the electoral district to which you belong, please verify your address of record and consult the electoral district map.
