Every February, Canada recognizes
Black History Month, honouring the legacy of Black Canadians and their communities. This year’s theme is “February and Forever: Celebrating Black History Today and Every Day,” recognizing the daily contributions of Black Canadians to Canada.
The OAA recognizes its public interest mandate is best realized when its membership reflects the society it serves. To that end, it continuously strives to eliminate barriers to work and advancement within the architecture profession. Last year, the OAA launched the
Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion page to offer information about the work the OAA is doing alongside links to news, events, and relevant third-party resources such as the
Black Architects and Interior Designers Association (BAIDA).
