Canadian Architect in collaboration with
Twenty + Change, a non-profit promoting Canadian architects' ideas and work exchange, have selected 20 budding Canadian for the sixth edition of the
"Twenty + Change: New Perspectives" initiative.
This year’s cohort represents the work of a new generation of Canadian architects and designers, chosen through an open call for submissions after careful consideration by a curatorial team. The team, which represented architectural practices from across the country, sought to highlight practices established within the last decade demonstrating innovation in their work, operations, research, and various facets of architectural practice.
One notable trend observed in this year’s selections was the rise of firms rooted in environmental sustainability practices, while others still were focused on infill housing or replacing conventional construction with technology-driven solutions for a sustainable future.
