SPECIAL FEATURE!

Discover the Evolution of Hotel Design

Hospitality has been a guiding light in interior design, providing cues for residential and office projects. Hotels have morphed from a place to stay to a place to meet, drink, eat, work, and be seen. They really are night and day from the expectations of a hotel in the 20th century.

Night & Day, IDS's new specialty section inspired by the success of the Future Neighbourhood, spotlights leading designers and manufacturers in the sector. Seven spaces, each created by a leading interior designer or architect, portray the latest trends, technology, and avant-garde ideas that will shape the discipline for years to come.

What is the next step for hospitality? How will the sector morph in the next few years? What types of interiors will learn from hospitality in the future? What lessons have been lost from hospitality in the past?
