Registration for the North American Theatre Engineering and Architecture Conference is now open. NATEAC 2021, a virtual conference, will take place from July 20-22, 2021. The registration fee is $145 USD and covers all three days.
The conference will feature 11 sessions with the Keynote Address by Jennifer Mallard (pictured). Other session topics include: New Music in Old Buildings: Adapting historic theatres and other structures for contemporary programming and technologies, and The Transformation of the National Art Centre’s Southam Hall and the many ways the changes have dramatically changed the character of the venue.
Conference Director Bill Sapsis comments, “The expertise and enthusiasm of the session presenters is impressive. They and the NATEAC production team are working hard to put together a memorable conference.”
NATEAC is a quadrennial event offering valuable information and insights into the design process for performing arts centres, theatres, and other live event venues. The inaugural NATEAC took place in 2008 at PACE University in Lower Manhattan.
NATEAC 2020 was initially postponed to 2021 and then, as COVID-19 continued into the Winter/Spring, was converted to a virtual event.
