Doors Open Toronto is an annual event when approximately 100 buildings of architectural, historic, cultural, and social significance to the city of Toronto open their doors to the public. The event will be taking place on
May 28 and 29, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and will celebrate 100+ sites of architectural, cultural and social significance.
Having completed its Renew + Refresh renovation project, the OAA Headquarters is opening its doors to show the public what has been accomplished as the building pursues zero net carbon performance and climate stability at a critical point. Guided tours will include a look at the components chosen to meet this goal, including an energy-efficient geothermal system, solar panels, improved daylighting, motion sensors and LED fixtures, and tint-changing dynamic windows.
Guided tours of the building will be offered at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm daily. Self-guided tours are also permitted. Volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions.
Please Note: The OAA has a mandatory vaccination policy. Visitors must have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and masks are required.
