Are Cities Designed for Everyone?

Join in on a discussion surrounding how urban design impacts BIPOC communities and explore creative ways to make our cities more inclusive.

This isn’t your typical workshop! You’ll be using LEGO Serious Play to get creative, have meaningful discussions, and brainstorm solutions together. Cities should be places where everyone feels welcome, but we know that many women and marginalized groups still face barriers to education, employment, and community participation. Let’s work together to change that!

This event is a team effort between the Fearless Cities initiative, Toronto Metropolitan University’s Department of Architectural Science, and the Women for Justice Foundation. We’re coming together to spark an open conversation about urban design and how we can make our cities more inclusive, especially for BIPOC communities. With our combined experiences and passion for social change, we’re excited to explore new ideas for creating safer, more welcoming public spaces for everyone.
