Webinar Exclusively for 2030 District Members Kim Cheslak from the New Buildings Institute discusses Building Performance Standards

Kim is a building energy codes leader and content matter expert who guides the future of building energy codes throughout the United States. Her work also includes assisting leading jurisdictions to improve their use of zero based-carbon codes and energy policies. Kim leads the codes team at NBI in reach/ stretch/all-electric codes roadmaps and code development for multiple U.S. cities in addition to working on building performance standards creation and implementation. She has over 10 years of experience focusing on buildings and codes. Kim was instrumental in the formation of Washington DC’s Green Building Division. She supports NBI’s broader engagement in code development, with an emphasis on stretch codes and multifamily code adoption.
