SHIFT2023 Challenge and Honours event
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Join us inside the stunning Vale Cavern, one of the most iconic and extraordinary spaces in the city. Where else can you watch a presentation/honours event inside a cave blasted out of solid rock? Only in Sudbury. The venue also boasts a huge 45X19 screen and customizable LED lighting.
The SHIFT2023 Challenge asked the profession to explore the intersection of architecture and human health and examine how innovative ideas could improve happiness and well-being. The presentation will include short introductions of each of the five ideas chosen by this year's jury that best exemplify the spirit of the program. The event will be moderated by Ryan Schwartz, a licensed architect with nearly a decade of experience working across Canada in the public and private sectors. He is also active in the adjacent fields of architectural media and photography. Ryan is the host for the OAA’s forthcoming public-facing podcast series, Architecturally Speaking, where he chats with members of the profession about all facets of the built environment and its impact on everyday life.
The event will also recognize the winner of this year's G. Randy Roberts Service Award and the Association’s new Honorary Members. You definitely do not want to miss this free event, which promises to be an unforgettable experience.
The dress code for the evening is semi-formal. The attendance is at limited capacity.
