Fibreglass and its Relation to Evolving Market Conditions

Hosted by Forest Windows & Doors

Location: Laurentian Main campus, room C-305

In this session led by Al Dueck of Duxton, we will focus on products that provide members of the architecture profession with efficient solutions for their next project.

Learning Objectives

  1.  Learn how to transition walls of glass into high-performance walls with U-values that meet upcoming code requirements.
  2. Examine swinging door requirements in multi-family housing, preparing for more extreme weather conditions while considering ease of occupant usage.
  3. Explore heritage window replacements that meet much-improved thermal and airtightness requirements while keeping the aesthetics of heritage committees.
  4. Uncover coatings and lifespans in fibreglass and discuss sub-sill drainage in installations (a fast evolving part of the market and the new building code).
