As a result of a new generation of hybrid structures, architectural professionals can leverage the benefits of combining mass timber, steel, and concrete to offer a completely exposed steel structure requiring no fireproofing whatsoever.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will be able to fully understand the benefits of using hybrid structures in multi-storey buildings of any type.
- Participants will learn the different properties of hybrid structures in order to select the appropriate system for a specific project.
- Participants will understand how hybrid structures can help to reduce the carbon footprint of a building through the reduction of the building’s volume.
- Participants will review UL fire-rating requirements and possibilities for hybrid structures.
