TIME: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
As TGS v4 comes into effect in May 1st 2022, it is important to understand the increasing challenges in meeting energy targets. This workshop will explain a recommended design development process for a successful compliance to TGS v4 energy targets. Expert energy performance specialists will showcase new tools to better understand thermal energy demand intensity (TEDI) contributors and optimize building envelope selection that promote timely design decision during the SPA development process. Attendees will be exposed to case studies and how optimized envelope detail selection can significantly reduce TEDI.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understanding and overview of the upcoming May 1st,2022 TGSv4 and the main challenges associated.
2. How to be better prepared for the more stringent building energy performance targets.
3. Overview of common energy conservation measures and technologies to be explored.
4. Understand the process and tools required to ensure the building design passes TGSv4 energy targets for submission for SPA.
5. Explore a sample case-study for a residential tower and how the process and tools are used to arrive at an optimal carbon-cost-benefit design package which meets the new TGSv4 energy targets.
