Session Abstract:
In this presentation, OAA licensees will be introduced to the Architect's Professional Seal - Application regulatory notice and how this applies to electronic document authentication. OAA licensees will also be introduced to the requirements under the Electronic Commerce Act of Ontario and how the OAA digital signature meets the highest standards for electronic document reliability. In the second part of this session licensee will learn how use the signature software suite and many of easy-to-use unique features. Finally, we will look at the impacts of adopting digital signature as an enabler of digital transformation and moving away from paper records management through real use case studies.
Learning Outcomes:
• Understand the key legal requirements for electronic document reliability.
• Understand the OAA Regulatory Notice RN.01 with regards to electronic document signing and sealing.
• Learn how to use the digital signature software suite.
• Witness real use case and stories of the impacts of moving away from paper records management enabled by digital signatures.
About the speaker:
Charles Tremblay has worked for more than 25 years in information technology and cybersecurity and has more than a dozen years of service with Notarius. He has seen the development of technologies and standards for document reliability and electronic transactions. He passionately contributes to the dematerialization of documents and transactions, business modernization and digital transformation.
